U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposes new Canada lynx habitat protections in the West
The Canada lynx, a snow-dependent wildcat, could soon see new protections in the western U.S. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced last week a finalized recovery plan for the species and is proposing new critical habitat designations.

Important points to include (along with your own):
1. You fully support any and all protections for the Canadian Lynx and their habitat.
2. Forest health must be maintained, there can not be any logging or thinning in lynx habitat.
3. Bobcats should not be killed in any habitat where lynx exist. In Colorado, the number one cause of lynx mortality is gunshot as this species is mistaken for bobcats.
